ASK THE BLOGGER
It’s that time again! Thanks to everyone for submitting your questions! If I didn’t pick you, don’t worry: I will feature five questions once a month, so there is always another chance to be featured. Enjoy this month’s ASK THE BLOGGER!
Question #1 is from Rebecca:
Q: Hardback, audio, paperback, or electronic?
A: If I am collecting books, I prefer to have hardback because they can withstand any accidental droppings (plus, hardbacks always look amazing on a shelf). If I am just reading for fun, I prefer paperbacks. They aren’t as cumbersome to carry around (*cough* Order of the Phoenix), and even though the covers get beaten up, I like that “worn” look.
Question #2 is from Emma:
Q: What’s the best book you’ve read recently?
A: That would have to be a triple tie (what would that be called?!) between THE CRUEL PRINCE by Holly Black, THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR by Nicola Yoon, and REFLECTION by Elizabeth Lim. They’re all beautifully written books by incredible women authors, and I’m so happy for their writing success!
Question #3 is from Sara:
Q: What’s your go-to book when you’re wanting to take a break from the world and relax? Why?
A: Honestly, I always read Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire if I am in the mood to escape reality. There are more “fantastical” books out there, but re-reading TGOF reminds me of the first time I ever read it. I remember the amazing feeling I had all those years ago when I first finished TGOF, and I thought, “Wow. This is an incredible book.” I can’t really explain the feeling, and I’m sure by now this explanation just sounds weird, but it is my favorite Harry Potter novel and it’s the book I love to read when I take some time to relax.
Question #4 is from Amanda:
Q: What’s your favorite contemporary/romance/fantasy/etc. that you’ve read this year?
A: Hands down, THE CRUEL PRINCE by Holly Black. It’s a cross between modern-day and fantasy, and captures elements from my favorite novels like CINDER, THE SELECTION, and THE GRISHA TRILOGY.
Question #5 is from Luana:
Q: Best snack to eat while blogging: popcorn, chocolate, or cake?
A: Popcorn!! Besides the fact that the little shells can get stuck in your keyboard if you’re not careful (oops!🤦🏻♀️), it’s a great, quick snack to eat while blogging. 😉
