I’ve got a little bit of a life update for you all, and what I’m planning to do blog-wise for the next few months. I am going to college next week, which is a huge step for me. I’ll be majoring in English and Music, all the while continuing to query agents for my YA futuristic fantasy novel. My dream is to find an agent before the year is up and work to get my book published before I graduate college! I won’t be able to spend as much time reading for book reviews when college first starts - as soon as I get into the “college groove,” I’ll pick back up with my usual rate of book reviews.
For the months of September and October, I am looking to do something I’ve had planned for a while, and work with my favorite authors to feature them and their books on my blog! I want to do this as a way of giving back to the authors who have supported me so much by sending me an ARC or review copy of their book, taking the time to talk to me, and believing in me as a blogger. It’s hard to get an email saying that review copies aren’t available for smaller bloggers, and the fact that you all took a chance on me means so much. As my blog has grown, I now want to help support the authors who helped support me.
So, I’ve already reached out to some incredible authors and I have them on the schedule for Sept/Oct. I’m still waiting to hear back from some, so I am also going to do some short posts about my writing journey and also give other people’s responses about their own writing journey. (You may have seen me ask questions like this on Twitter! Feel free to answer them, and I may feature you).
I’ve got some awesome author Q&As on the books for September, as well as a few guest posts. (Including one from my brother who just read his first YA book and loved it). For October, I also have more Q&As planned, and I’ll start adding some fun blog posts as well!
I’ll resume book reviews in November, and I already have some cool books lined up to review for you all!
So, thank you so much for continuing to be supportive of me, and I’m looking forward to bringing you all some new posts. 💙 (And I will still be very active on Twitter and Instagram).
